Mujtamarind Ltd is a non-profit company based in Juba, South Sudan, dedicated to strengthening local capacity for peacebuilding, governance, and economic development. Rooted in the spirit of mujtama (community) and the tamarind tree (a traditional place of gathering), it brings together communities, institutions, and government to shape inclusive and sustainable solutions.
Working closely with local and international partners, Mujtamarind invests in people development, mentorship, and cross-border learning. Guided by a strong board and constitutional framework, it combines grants, partnerships, and income-generating initiatives to deliver accountable, innovative, and locally-driven peacebuilding for South Sudan’s future.

Mujtama operates in South Sudan's most conflict-affected regions, with strategic focus on Lakes State and Greater Jonglei/Pibor. By concentrating in these priority areas, we build deeper community relationships and support locally-led solutions that address the root causes of conflict.
