Mujtamarind Ltd is a company limited by guarantee, established in Juba, South Sudan, to strengthen local capacity for peacebuilding, governance, and economic pathways, sustaining the work of the Peacebuilding Opportunities Fund (POF). Drawing its name from mujtama (community) and the tamarind tree (a traditional gathering place), the organisation is dedicated to supporting inclusive processes that bring communities, institutions, and government partners together. Its work includes people development, mentorship, and facilitating international learning and exchange to advance peace and development outcomes.

As a non-profit entity, Mujtamarind works in close collaboration with government, local institutions, and international partners, leveraging grants, partnerships, and income-generating activities to sustain its peacebuilding mission. Its governance is anchored in a committed board of directors and a clear constitutional framework that ensures accountability, participation, and sustainability. Staff joining Mujtamarind will be part of a team shaping innovative, locally-rooted approaches to peacebuilding and community resilience in South Sudan.
